6.   When European doctor Samuel Hutton, M.D. first encountered the native Inuit peoples of North America and Greenland in around 1902. He noticed that the chronic diseases that Europeans had were uncommon or remarkably rare in the Eskimo. “The most striking is cancer,” noted Hutton on the basis of his over 11 years with them. “I have not seen or heard of a case of malignant growth in an Eskimo.” He also observed no asthma nor appendicitis, with the sole exception of a young Eskimo who had been “living on a ‘settler’ dietary.” Hutton observed that the Eskimos who had adopted the settlers’ diet tended to suffer more from scurvy, were “less robust,” and endured “fatigue less easily, and their children are puny and feeble.” Diseases Of Civilization Chapter Five

7.   Nobel prize winning physician, Albert Schweitzer, founded a missionary hospital in Gabon, Africa in 1913.

When he first reached the interior lowlands of West Africa in 1913 cancer was completely unknown. “On my arrival in Gabon, I was astonished to encounter no cases of cancer,” Schweitzer noted.

It was not as if he saw few patients. In the first nine months there, he treated 2,000 patients. Over the next 40 years, he saw an average of 30 to 40 patients each day and performed three operations a week.

It wasn’t until the 1930’s that he began to see the first cancer cases emerge. Dr. Schweitzer had this to say about cancer now being seen in the native population: “My observations inclined me to attribute this to the fact that the natives were living more and more after the manner of the whites.” [Regarding their adopting the eating of “westernized” food]

8.      A study published in International Journal of Medical Science in 2007, which used the death data for Panama’s indigenous Guna Tribe members from the years 2000 to 2004 and compared them to the same timeframe death data of Panama westernized citizens. The death rate from CVD for westernized or “civilized” citizens of Panama was 83 deaths per 100,000 and deaths due to Cancer were 68 per 100,000. Compare that to the Guna tribe death rate of just 9 per 100,000 due to CVD and only 4 deaths per 100,000 due to Cancer! (The Guna continue to shun western ways, especially the foods eaten by so called “civilized people.”)

9.      The introduction of cheap processed polyunsaturated vegetable oils (PUFs) after WWI corresponds with the rise of cancer in this and other countries. In one study from 1971 PUFs were associated with the doubling of fatal carcinomas. Many clinical and other scientific studies confirm that polyunsaturated vegetable oils promote the growth of cancer. Two Canadian studies report correlation: – less prostate cancers with higher consumption of saturated fats; – more prostate cancers associated with higher consumption of polyunsaturated vegetable oils.

10.  Eating Lots of Carbs May Raise Cancer Risk:

1.   “High-carb diets may increase more than just waistlines. New research suggests they might raise the risk of breast cancer. Women in Mexico who ate a lot of carbohydrates were more than twice as likely to get breast cancer than those who ate less starch and sugar, scientists found. …”

2.   “Scientists think carbs may increase cancer risk by rapidly raising sugar in the blood, which prompts a surge of insulin to be secreted. This causes cells to divide and leads to higher levels of estrogen in the blood, both of which can encourage cancer.”

3.   A study suggested that high-carb diets raised the risk of breast cancer, the study found greater risk among young women who ate a lot of sweets, especially sodas and desserts.

4.   “Those in the top category – who got 62 percent or more of their calories from carbs — were 2.22 times more likely to have breast cancer than those in the lowest category, whose carb intake was 52 percent or less of their diet.”

This is one of the strongest dietary-cancer risk correlation factors I have ever seen documented in a study! For every 1% increase in carbohydrate consumption above 52%, the statistical risk of cancer increases by 12%!

12.  Several studies have shown an increased cancer rate in regions with low magnesium levels in soil and drinking water as well. In Egypt the cancer rate was only about 10% of that in Europe and America rates. In the rural fellah it was practically non-existent. The main difference was an extremely high magnesium intake of 2.5 g to 3 g in these cancer-free populations, ten times more than in most western countries. Magnesium deficiency seems to be carcinogenic, and in cases of solid tumors, high levels of magnesium inhibit carcinogenesis.

13.  A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that higher intakes of dietary magnesium were associated with a lower risk of colorectal tumors. For every 100-mg increase in magnesium intake, the risk of colorectal tumor decreased by 13%, while the risk of colorectal cancer was lowered by 12%.

14.  In China, where the selenium levels in the soils varies much more dramatically than in the United States and the population is less mobile, an ecological study in 1985 showed dramatic results in linking cancer with selenium deficiencies. Dr. Shu-Yu Yu measured the selenium content of blood stored in blood banks in 30 different regions in China, and classified the regions as high selenium, medium selenium, and low selenium. They then compared death rates from cancer to the selenium rates and found there was an exact correlation. “In the low selenium classification, three times as many people died from cancer as in the high selenium classification.”

15.  Selenium has protective effect against overall cancer incidence.

16.  A study published in the journal Cancer Research found that cancer cells feed on fructose. Fructose intake is linked to pancreatic cancer (One of the most deadly of all cancers). Americans take in large amounts of fructose, mainly in high fructose corn syrup, (which is almost always fro GMO corn), a mix of fructose and glucose that is used in soft drinks, bread and a range of other foods.

20.  Dr. Otto Warburg discovered that regarding cancer cells:

1.   “Just by decreasing a cell’s oxygen content by about one-third, cancer is automatically induced. Nothing more is required for cancer to develop.” 1924

3.   “All normal cells have an absolute requirement for oxygen but cancer cells can live without oxygen.” 1924

21.  The medical community has ignored Dr. Otto Warburg’s discovery of the cause of cancer.

22.  “The great advantage of knowing the prime cause of a disease is that it can then be attacked logically and over a broad front. 1.   In 1931 Doctor Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in Medicine. Since then his discoveries have been suppressed by the medical establishment (AMA, ACS, NIH, FDA, etc.) so successfully that only alternative medicine researchers ever learn of them or that Dr. Warburg ever even existed.
